Sam Edelman Leopard Pointed Toe Pump

Welcome to the jungle ladies!! You may ask how these are going to be any different than the previously reviewed Sam Edelman pointed toe pumps and honestly, it’s mostly that these are elevated due to their calf half texture and leopard pattern. This pattern and texture may not be for everyone, but it brings me back to a pair of heels I used to wear all the time in college, so these have an added nostalgia feel for me. So much so that I ended up purchasing this pair, but not the last Sam Edelman pumps I reviewed. So let’s get into the review, shall we…

If you haven’t had the chance to read my previous Sam Edelman post, I’ll fill you in on the basics: what Sam does well is create an elegant high heel which are great to look at, but the written promises of comfort that line the lid of a box are a lie! 🤥 These heels are high (nearly all heels I’ve seen from him are around 4 inches) and the padding at the ball of the foot isn’t thick enough to truly allow for prolonged comfort. So, we are left with high heels that look good, but feel awful. And yes, I’m a sucker for buying them, but again these look great on me and have a nostalgic feel. They will be, yet again, another pair of heels that only come out of hiding when I know I’ll be sitting most of the time or otherwise collecting dust in my closet. Sound familiar?

Ok, back to some positives: the nice thing about the multi-color and calf hair texture is that they won’t show dirt and/or wear as quickly as leather heels will. Also, I love the stripe pattern under the heel and the emblem on the back of the heel which definitely makes this heel distinctive. Can we agree on those? I’m really trying to make this work for Sam here!

Overall Rating

I truly can’t rate the comfortability of this heel any better than my previous Sam Edelman review because they essentially feel the same, but I just love this style a lot more. While these aren’t the most uncomfortable heels, they are far from the best, so I’d rate them at a 7.5 (10 being the most painful high heel). If I was incorporating style, elegance, and color options into the score, maybe he’d get a better score, but unfortunately, that’s not why I’m here. I’m here to find that pair of high heels that are just as comfortable as they claim they are on the box and find pairs that are honestly worth the money these designers are asking for. For Sam Edelman, he’s great at design, but cannot seem to make a genuinely comfortable high heel. 🤦‍♀️ Then again, how would he know, he’s not wearing them! 😂

What Heel Do You Want to See Rated?

I plan to continue the search for the best possible high heel that won’t break the bank, but also provide lasting comfort and style. I’d love to hear what you want to see rated or, if you have heard of that next “big thing” in high heel comfort, I wanna know about it. Until next time, keep your heels high and never settle for less than you deserve!
