Sam Edelman Hazel Pointed Toe Heel

Today, we have the Sam Edelman Hazel Pointed Toe Heel. While I love the classic and elegant style of these heels, the minute I put them on, I could tell that the heel was too high to possibly be comfortable to walk in. Now, their website states that “new technology adds a padded sock which gives added comfort without sacrificing style”, but like Maury Povich would say, results confirm that was a lie.

Nearly 4 inch heel

While it may not look like it from the pictures, the pitch (or heel height) of these are immediately uncomfortable and the so-called padding at the ball of the heel isn’t any different than other high heels I’ve tried on. The one appealing thing about this heel is that they come in almost 30 different colors, patterns, and textures (either leather or suede) allowing you to be able to find the perfect color for almost any outfit, but with the $130 price tag, they should also be comfortable, right?!

There are definitely unique features on these that make them pop and look like that shiny new pair you just have to have, but don’t let the frills deceive you! While I love the gold writing on the insole, the emblem on the back of the heel, and the stripes on the bottom (all of which make these look distinctive and exclusive) they don’t make up for the unyielding material and uncomfortable heel height.

Overall Rating

I wanted these to work out so much due to the elegant style and multitude of color options because that would make these the only pair of heels we’d really need to know about, but unfortunately no one can seem to figure out how to make stylish AND comfortable high heels. Surprisingly, nearly all the reviews online for these are about 4 or 5 stars, all raving about the comfortability, but I’m not sure how many of those are actually valid, verified customers. For all the 1 star reviews, they have the same opinion as me for the same reasons, so maybe take the rave reviews with a grain of salt. While these aren’t the most uncomfortable heels, they are far from the best, so I’d rate them at a 7.5 (10 being the most painful high heel). Better luck next time Sam!

What Heel Do You Want to See Rated?

I plan to continue the search for the best possible high heel that won’t break the bank, but also provide lasting comfort and style. I’d love to hear what you want to see rated or, if you have heard of that next “big thing” in high heel comfort, I wanna know about it. Until next time, keep your heels high and never settle for less than you deserve!
